Background

I’m a ten year pythonista, programming flash for 6 (off and on) and nearly two years in with Django. One of my jobs is technology R&D, my other is training people on Python and Django.

I was involved with RIAs way back when Java 1 was hot – in fact while I was doing my PhD I wrote an academic paper detailing one of the first RIA frameworks. With the release of Flex, and now AIR, RIAs look better than web-pages (Java never did) and I’m finding that I naturally gravitate towards delivering technology that way.
